How to Write for Wi-Fi Revolution online magazine
Outline of Editorial Criteria
OUR READERS
The audience for Wi-Fi Revolution includes technology developers, equipment vendors, resellers, and systems integrators in the wireless and networking markets. Articles intended for these readers should impart information that will help them become advocates of (who will justify purchasing decisions) and/or participants in (who will make work in any given implementation) the Wi-Fi space. When addressing our audience, emphasize the practical. Enrich the readers overall knowledge of the Wi-Fi industry, including emerging technologies, market trends, and business opportunities.
STYLE
We recognize that satisfying our audience requires authors to prepare material of significant technical depth. Further, as content becomes more technical, it necessarily becomes less generic and more vendor-specific. Nonetheless, we reject a highly commercial or advertorial approach. Rather, we embrace a more formal, restrained, white paper or how-to approach.
We encourage our writers to take advantage of the online medium by including hypertext in their articles. Please include links to or the URLs for the Web sites of standards bodies, industry organizations, analyst reports, etc.
SUBJECT MATTER
Wi-Fi Revolution accepts vendor-bylined articles on Underlying Technology (applications and services, hardware, software, testing, standards, etc.) and Research (carefully structured, verifiable research presented in an editorial format). Sidebars may include information from recent press releases, end-user application stories, or Q&A pieces.
IMPORTANT
Your article should be comprehensive, original and noncommercial. In all likelihood, you will have to describe what is unique about your technology. But stay technical. Avoid superlatives (the best, the only, etc.). We reject blatantly commercial material.

COPYRIGHT PROCEDURES
Your article must not contain libelous matter. It must be original, must have never appeared previously in another publication, and must not be simultaneously submitted to any other publication for consideration. Every article submitted to our editorial staff must be accompanied by a completed "Assignment of Copyright" form. Please do not alter the wording of this form. Copyright protects the exact wording of a printed piece; it does not apply to the ideas contained within the article.
ARTICLE ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES
For a variety of reasons, we cannot guarantee the acceptance of or publication of any article. However, if we encounter problems regarding a specific article, we will try to publish your article as soon as possible in an issue that is appropriate to the material covered therein. We may find it necessary to return the article to the author for revision so as to render the article suitable for publishing consideration in a subsequent issue. We suggest that you do not pre-publicize the fact that you have submitted an article for publication in a particular issue to save embarrassment if your article must be cut.
If you plan to submit more than one article to Wi-Fi Revolution, please be aware that our policy prohibits us from publishing the same author or corporation in back-to-back issues.
If you have concerns regarding these issues, please contact the editorial department.
